The Spirit of Fremont Morning Rotary

Fremont Morning Rotary is a small, active, and welcoming club—the only Rotary Club in southern Alameda County that meets before the workday begins. We meet in-person over breakfast and via Zoom. Being a small Club, each of our members have a direct influence to advance local causes that are important to them.

We Take Fun Seriously
We have periodic informal social events just to enjoy each other’s company.  It is amazing what one small Rotary Club can do! It is amazing to imagine what more we can achieve as our Club attracts new members.

We Volunteer for & Support Local Organizations
Our members are encouraged to propose and steer community projects and support  the work of local organizations such as Meals-On-Wheels, Fremont Age Well Center, HERS Breast Cancer Foundation and Ohlone College Scholarships through community grants. We enhance our impact by partnering with other neighbor Rotary Clubs for service opportunities such as Centerville Free Dining to feed the hungry and homeless in our area.

We Promote Education and Leadership for Youth in the Irvington High School & Horner Junior High School Service Areas
We help foster leadership and service skills in our youth by sponsoring local high school Rotary Interact Clubs. In fact, we currently sponsor the only Junior High School Interact Club in our entire Rotary District.

We Help Those in Need Around the World
Our Club is fortunate to have significant experience and a passion for international humanitarian service. In 2015, our Club played a key role in establishing a World Community Service Committee comprised of Rotary Clubs in the Fremont-Newark-Union City area. This Committee pools District Designated Funds accrued by Clubs in our area to implement joint international projects that cannot be accomplished by any individual Rotary Club. To date, our collective clubs are equally credited to have implemented more than 30 joint humanitarian projects with a total value of about 1.5 million dollars, across 11 countries worldwide. Fremont Morning Rotary has been the “lead Club” to acquire numerous Joint Rotary Global Grants over the years.
