Communication skills for youth and young adults to achieve success in their education

Elizabeth is the Director, Bay Area Speech Language and Accent Works.  Children and even young adults going through college generally experience a much harder time accessing the curriculum when their communication abilities are lacking. I’m not just referring to speech and language delays or challenges inherent in learning English as a second language, but also a child’s overall ability to express him or herself adequately, listen well, and navigate hard conversations between peers, parents, teachers and community members.
